I removed neg. Battery cable now car will not start and lights stay on

I have a 2001 Lincoln Towncar. I removed neg.battery cable now car will not start and lights stay on. The engine will not turn when you turn key nothing happens. The headlights stay on bright but no response from ignition key.

This sounds like you have activated the security system if so the security light will be flashing if this is true. Lock up the car using the remote and then let is sit for 30 minutes. Next unlock the car using the remote or unlocking the drivers door with the code or drivers door key. This should disarm the alarm system.

I took it to the shop it was starter that was bad costs me $320.00 but hey at least it is running again thanks for your help I wanted you to know.
