I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer 2wd 4dr with approx. 169 k. The problem I am having is rough idling, I believe the engine runs smooth during normal driving. The vehicle has no lack of power but is getting poor fuel mileage. I have replaced general tuneup items such as spark plugs, fuel filter, cap and rotor, egr, possibly everything externally. I noticed today there was oil in water but not on dipstick. Please help with any suggestions you might have I am running out of ideas.
sincerely Richard P

I assume your check engine light comes on from time to time. You should have the computer scanned for any stored trouble codes.

The computer should be picking up on those issues. You will need a scan tool to observe the data and get a picture of what is going on with the system.

There is a lot more information available besides codes. The sensor data will have to be analyzed.
