We replaced the starter, and now the car wont start do you have any suggestions as to what it might be.
My daughter drove it home shut it off we went out to change the oil and it wouldnt start, so than we realized the starter was bad so we replaced it now the car turns over but will not fire.
The electric fuel pump runs when turning on the ignition.
We are in need of my car, can you please help me

To determine what's causing it if its fuel or spark problem do below and get back with some results

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine atleast 3/16 in away from ground have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, cap and rotor /distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, ECM, Ignitor camshaft and crankshaft sensors and computer. Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it

I was driving my car the other day and the light turned red for the tempature. I then started seeing smoke/steam coming from the car. I drove a little more and then it stopped. Someone stopped and helped me push it to the side. I went home and came back to the car. I put several gallons of water into the radiator and it did bring the temperature down. However when I went to start it, it wouldn't turn over and the service engine soon light lights up. Please help.

So when you say it won't turn over, do you mean that when you go to start it nothing happens at all or do you mean the starter turns the engine but it won't start?

Ok if the starter is good then it sounds like you may have let it get to hot. Have you pulled the plugs to see if there is any antifreeze or water in the cylinders? My thought is that you may need to rebuild or replace the engine. Let me know about the water in the cylinders and about the starter.

Buick - power windows dont work and seat will not go back but the fuses are good. What could this be? It is not the battery or fuel pump and the check engine light isnt on.

Check the fuses and see if you are getting owr to starter. If you are hit the body while trying to start if it starts you need another starter. Try resetting your anti theft-turn key on until theft light goes out then turn off then try to start. For the windows check the three things I have pointed out first. Then the switches and motors.

Skin I am haven the same problem. Shut the car off one day and went back to start 10mins later nothen. I have pwr but when I turned key over I would get no response out of the car. My problem is the factory secuirty system in the car. The chip in my key (little back chip) is not reading. GM dealer ship says wires are broke or key needs to be remaped to the car. Either way prices 200-650 to have it done I am looking for a way to bypass the secuirty system as soon as I find a way I will let you know so you can try
at this time I am going to pull igntion and try to start the car without the key I will repost my findings
if anyone else has this problem and knows how to bypass the secuirty system pls leave a message my buick is 95 v6 3600 or 3800 I cant rember
