I'm about to buy a 1997 Honda Civic del Sol S.I. (manual) from a friend. We're getting it for pretty cheap, but there are a few problems, such as the power steering. How much might it cost to get power steering replaced on this vehicle? Thanks so much.

So, are you needing to replace the power steering pump or the power steering rack or both?

These power steering pumps cost around $80.00 to $120.00 and the rack costs around $120.00 to $200.00. Depending on brand.

As for the installation cost it will depend on where you take it to. As all the shops will have different labor rates.
But as for the installation time, the pump is around 1 hour, and the rack is 4 hours.
