1995 Plymouth Acclaim AC compressor wont run.

After replacing cyl head ac comp wont run. If I jump the + wire on the ac relay it will run.I'm stumped. It was working before the head replacement and was cooling. I also checked the ground on left fender and cleaned it. Looked at the wires on the console switch assembly and am getting power there. Blower motor works inside.

Check the a/c fuse and the a/crelay in the fuse box.
To check the relay, just swap it with another identical realy in the fuse box. If the a/c now works then repalce that relay.

I did that and same no run. When I jumped relay I did so on the small wire and she ran. The relay isnt getting power from inside the car. Heater ac Blower motor works. All fuses good

This site (2carpros.com) has a really good article on how to check a relay. Read it, follow the steps to be sure that your relay is good (or not). Here's the address:

Also, you should connect a/c pressure manifold gauge set to the a/c to see if it has enough pressure to turn the compressor on. (a line could have been disconnected during the cylinder head work)
