I have just put a new motor in, and a rebuilt trans. The car does not get very warm, I have replaced the thermostat, and replaced the ante freeze. The needle on the dash gets to 3/4 hot and before it never went past the 1/2 way mark, and it blew nice hot heat now it blows luke warm heat. Is there something I still need to replace, heater coil or waterpump etc.

Feel the heater hoses, are they both hot to touch, if not flush core may be restricted, check heater tap and controls as the tap may not be opening fully. A water pump is always a good idea when o/hauling an engine
