Engine Mechanical problem
1995 Ford Bronco V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 130k miles

Recently replaced the fouled starter on my 1995 bronco. Admittedly the truck hasn't been started for a few months. Now it will crank fine, but will not turn over to run. Where can I spray ether to try to get the engine started? I feel that if I can get it started, it'll run, though I may need a need fuel filter or fuel pump.

The throttle is engaging and fuel is making it in - I can smell the gas if I try to long and flood the motor.

Thanks!

Bill

To determine if its being caused by fuel or spark -do below

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine atleast 3/16 away from ground-have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it

My bronco has the 5.8 V8. I got in it the other day and it fired up and sputtered a little bit then stalled. After it stalled, it would not start again. It would just turn and turn. This was the original problem. Decided to change the fuel filter. After I replaced the fuel filter, I tried it again. It won't even try to turn now. This is the new problem. I took the fuel pump relay out to depressurize the lines. Thinking I might have blown the relay, but that shouldn't cause it to stop turning. It got dark on me so I could not check the fuses. I will be doing that after work this afternoon. Did I miss something when I changed the fuel filter? I don't know what I did to make it stop trying to crank. Thanks in advance for any input.

Are you sure it was the fuel pump relay? It sounds like you may have removed the EEC Relay? Determine what's missing, gas, spark or compression, you need all three to make it run!

Engine Performance problem
1995 Ford Bronco V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic exempt miles

I ran out of gas, and when I put gas back in it wouldnt start. It acts like it is trying to start, and will but very briefly then dies. It is fuel injected, so I dont know if I have to do something special for it to start. Been trying all day.I was told by my son that it may be an air bubble. And if so how do I get it out. Some gas is getting to the engine but not enough for it to stay started. Help please.

Can you hear the fuel pump running when you just turn the key on. It should run about two seconds only? Check fuel pressure with guage. There is a place under the hood in the test plug (Data Link Connector) to crossover and the fuel pump will run all the time to check it. I tried to find a picture of the plug but could not. Hope this helps.

My Bronco will not start what so ever. If you turn the key there is no clicking or even an attempt for the engine to turn over

No crank at all/nothing/nada:
Could be the starter, starter relay, clutch switch/park and neutral switch and ignition switch assuming the battery and connections are good.
