So to keep my car idle at a stop sign I have to keep my foot on the gas pedle and if I stay in one spot to long my car start to over heat but it doesn't if I'm on the freeway or going at a fast speed. I was wondering what it is worng with it.

Does your cooling fan come on at about 3/4 on the temp gauge?

How high does the temp gauge get when it overheats?Does it boil over the cap? Also when your fan is running can you feel a lot of air being pulled thru the radiator?Over the years I have seen sand and debris get stuck in the radiator and the ac condenser causing poor air flow thru them. Causing overheating when not moving especially in park. Do you still have the air dam hanging down from below your radiator and ac condenser to help scoop air thru them?
