1995 Saturn SL2 Can not backup when engine hot

Please help, my Saturn 95, in the morning I cold engine I can shift gear to backup and it OK, when run go to work about 45 min. And park in parking lot for 10 or 15 min, then try to back up, car not moving and then some time it making a big bang then I can backup, now I can not back up, hit gas pedel engine rev up to 3000 rpm but not move, and between 1st gear and 2nd gear slip, can any one help? Please tell me what to do? If repair how much it cost? May be need replace transmission? If too much money then I just give to junk yard.

I can't give u a repair cost without looking at the car it could be a on car repair or u might have to remove the transmission and split the case.U could have something as simple as a bad pressure regulator in the valve body or u could have a leaking reverse servo piston or a second gear piston leaking since reverse doesn't have it's own clutch pack on ur transmission it shares second gear. So unless u have some tools and are really a good do it urself car guy then I would take it in to have it looked at because u need to air check ur clutches and ur reverse servo piston while ur valve body is off and before that do a line pressure test an step pressure test on ur trans. Let me know what u find an how it goes.

Thanks for the advice, I don't think I should bring to auto transmission to repair or re place it will cost to much. Right now car park in driveway. Waiting for donate to church. Thanks again.
