My 1993 dodge shadow shuts off while driving i just put a new gas filter on and its still shutting off

Except for diesel trucks, you will never solve such a problem on a Chrysler product by replacing the fuel filter. The most common cause of stalling on this engine is the Hall Effect sensor under the distributor cap and rotor. Many people carry a spare. The sensor will often work again for a little while after it cools down.
