1993 Dodge Ram Repair Question

Truck will start but dies
The truck sat up for 4 years. I changed the fuel pump and filter yesterday and it still acts like it ain't getting fuel. It runs for a minute or so when I poor gas in the carb.

If it stays running if you hold your foot on the gas pedal, it has to relearn "minimum throttle" before the computer will know when it has to be in control of idle speed. It lost that from memory when the battery ran dead or was disconnected.
To meet the conditions for the relearn to take place, drive at highway speed with the engine warmed up, then coast for at least seven seconds without touching the pedals.
