1993 Chevy S-10 Brake Pedal Assist Spring

When I press the brake pedal, I here a metallic sounding coming from the pedal area that sounds like a click and a spring's ping. Is there a reason to worry about this? I just bought the truck for my teenager to drive. I don't know what is normal for these. Braking appears normal. I didn't notice the sound the first day or so I had the truck, then I took it in to have the rear drums turned. Not saying it wasn't making the sound before; just that I didn't notice it.

This is not normal, i would get a good mechanic to do a full brake inspection, i would be suspecting a broken spring in the rear brakes, get this checked ASAP.
