CADILLAC DEVILLE BRAKE PADS PROBLEM
1993 Cadillac Deville • 13,000 miles
How do you take what is holding the brake pads off? i can not find what is holding it on, help please
Do you mean the clip that holds the pad to the caliper piston? That's riveted on and comes with the new pads.
How do I get to the pads? I can't see how to take off or seperate it from the rotor!
The caliper is held on with two bolts inside rubber sleeves. Usually takes about a T45 torx or 10mm Allen wrench. Be sure to lube those bolts with high-temperature brake grease. Replace them if the chrome plating has lifted or there's any rust pits.
