cj7 brakes

I have a 1978 cj7 I just bought the man said he put new brakes all the way around but never got them to work I mean this as no brakes at all. I have bleed the lines and I took the top off the master cyl. and pushed the brake and it shoots fuild out the top help please.

Re bleed and make sure that you start with the master cylinder first, let me know if that helps.
