Bad Gas, Raz?

You got access to a "Tee", that will fit the Existing fuel line, and another piece of fuel hose, long enough to go from "close" to the carb. And into empty fuel cans?

I will explain "How To", if you have these items.

If Raz, says OK, . And you can keep the truck running. We'll pump the Gas Tank, Close to empty. No need to drop the tank!

Probably the "GOO" that was left in the tank!

Maybe the GOO in the carb will wash out as you drive it more.I've revived 60 year old, simple Carbs, before I had to rebuild them!

How much fuel is in your tank now?

How big is your tank?

What method did you use to drain it, to begin with?

I'll show you how in the morning.

I'll wait for your response, then it's the sack for me too! (0100 Hrs Eastern Time)

RAZ is in the Philippines, His day is probably just starting!

Last Response tonight (this morning!), Your turn!

FIRST CALL!---WAKE UP!---TIME TO DRAIN YOUR FUEL TANK!

LET YOUR FUEL PUMP DO ALL OF THE WORK!

DEFINITIONS. FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. THEN DOWN!

CARBURETOR---FUEL LINE--TEE--FUEL PUMP--FUEL LINE--FUEL TANK IN VEHICLE

DOWN FROM TEE----LONG FUEL LINE---VISE GRIP PLIERS (VALVE, OR EVEN A SLIGHT "KINK")--PROVIDES BACK PRESSURE TO INSURE CARB DOES NOT STARVE FOR FUEL, WHILE PUMPING OUT)----THEN FINALLY OUR "CATCHER FUEL CAN"

THE PLIERS/ KINK/ VALVE MAY NOT BE NEEDED, AS LONG AS THE CARB IS CONTINUED TO BE FED ENOUGH FUEL TO RUN ENGINE

MONITOR PROGRESS--DO NOT LET YOU CAN OVERFLOW

FIRE EXTINGUISHER HANDY, IS ALWAYS A GOOD THING!

MOVED WIFE'S CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE, JUST TO MAKE YOU A SPECIAL PIC!

AIN'T IT PERTTY!

I KNOW A FEW EXPERTS HERE, THAT COULD FIND SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT!

DO YOU UNDERSTAND. THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS!

YOUR TURN

Bandage -cut the fuel line before the fuel pump coming from the fuel tank use a hose long enough to reach a gallon of gas and fire it up and observe if it runs better with no problems we can blame the nasty stuffs in the tank if it continues recheck the Carb and also check the EGR and PCV valves if its functioning correctly-

BEEN DOIN' WIFEY STUFF ALL DAY!

I GAVE YOU A REALLY LATE WAKE UP CALL!

"GOO" IS THE GOOPY, NASTY, SLIMEY, YUCKY STUFF FOUND IN ANY VESSEL--USUALLY IS UNWANTED, AND REQUIRES WORK TO GET IT OUT!

I HOPE YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT RAZ SAID ABOUT SUBSTITUTING A GALLON OF FUEL, ON THE SUCTION SIDE OF THE FUEL PUMP. TEMPORARILY USING IT AS YOUR GAS TANK, IN ORDER TO CHECK FOR BETTER OPERATION.

RAZ, I WAS ABOUT TO SUGGEST AN "I.V.", THAT'S WHAT WE DO WHEN WE FIND AN OLD WILLYS JEEP, TO SEE IF THE ENGINE IS DECENT, IF IT WON'T FEED THRU THE BOWL. WE GIVE IT A SLOW STEADY DRIP, THRU THE BARREL OF A BAD CARBURETOR!

I'LL BE GONE AGAIN MOST OF TOMORROW, PLEASE KEEP US INFORMED ON THE NEWEST DEVELOPMENTS!

SEND GAS MONEY!--I'LL COME DRAG YOUR TRUCK THRU THE MOUNTAINS!--WILL I NEED MY HARD TOP, OR WILL THE SUMMER TOP DO, THIS TIME OF YEAR?
