It’s been sitting for a few years and the battery is completely drained. I gave it a jump and it runs for a minute or so then shuts off. It has gas and throttle response would a drained battery keep it from running.

Hello,

Does the engine stall after you disconnect the jump cable?
When it runs does it idle smoothly or roughly?

If it stalls after you remove the jumper cable it could be due to a bad alternator. Keep in mind that just having a bad battery won't stall the engine. It will run if you can jump it. But it will not start if the battery is bad.

Are you getting any warning light on the dash?

Let me know a little more information about what you are experiencing.
Thank you.
