Wont stay running

Went to start my car and it was dead, I jumped the car and it started right up. I drove it for a few hundred feet and went to make a turn around and the car died again and would not start. I have it at the mechanics right now and they tested the alternator and it is fine. They are not real sure what the problem is, any hints?

It sounds like either the battery will not hold a charge or the alternator has failed. Make sure the cable connections are good.

Have them re check the alternator.
