Battery light turned on took it in to get it battery checked came back good also had the alternator check which read failing. I replaced the alternator the next day I was driving, and the ABS light came on and my steering wheel would start to jerk, when I turned off my headlights it wouldn't jerk anymore. I got home and turned off the car. I tried to restart the car and it would not start. Can't check with OB2 reader since my OB2 port is not working and there is no power to the climate control panel. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Are you able to jump-start the engine? If that is a possibility, I need you to check the alternator output. You easily could have gotten a faulty alternator.

Here is a link that explains how to check the charging system. It only requires a voltmeter or a multimeter. Take a look through it and let me know if you are comfortable performing the test. So, let me know the results.

Additionally, check the fuses I highlighted in the attached charging system schematic below. Also, if the fuses are good, it is important that we check for power to and from the fuse.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
