Won't crank over if recently drove.

When the car is hot the car will not turn over. When the car is cool it take a couple cranks for it to fire up. It sound like the starter just stops and u can hear the flywheel still spinning. I dont believe it is the starter or silinoid because this has been on going for about a month and it hasnt gotten worse. If the car has been sitting all night it fires right up with no problem.

The flywheel can't continue spinning, so to me, it sounds like the bendix is bad on the starter and not engaging with the flywheel. Check that first.
