Auto has always started smooth as glass until recently when turned key, engine turned over with strong battery but no ignition, second try with slight firing and slight exhaust puff. Engine turns over strongly but no ignition. I checked all the fuses and found none bad! Help, help!

Hi,

When you have a crank no-start condition, in most cases, the cause is either a lack of fuel or an ignition-related issue.

I need you to try something for me. See if the engine will start if you use starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know it is fuel related. If there is no change, I need you to check for spark at the plugs.

Here is a link that explains how to check:

Try this and let me know the results.

Take care,

Joe
