Wire not plugged in

There is a wire in front of fuse box under hood that is not plugged in it has a connector plug with these numbers;
Top. 1-1670916-1
One side 27
Other side 10819
Those numbers are on the plug why is it not being used and what is it for.

Hello,

Can you take a picture of it and upload it here for us so we can take a look at it? If it is an electrical connector, there must be another connector nearby that also is not connected to anything, so I would inspect the wiring harness nearby and you should find it's mate to connect it to. Also, do you notice if a system is not working? This would also lead you to the circuit that this electrical connector would go to. Please get back to us with what you find out, and we can go from there.
