The are 3 possible colors for the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor signal wire coming from the fuel tank harness. I believe it is the Green wire that is the sensor wire going to the PCM. Can anyone verify if this is the correct wire? The connector under the car was filled with water and corroded, which I assume made the car throw a Check Engine light for "Fuel Tank Pressure High" P0453 code. Going to try and rewire the sensor wire and bypass the corroded connector. Just making sure I'm doing the right wire/color. Thank in advance.

Yep the corrosion will give you that code, here is the wiring diagram for the fuel tank pressure sensor so you can make the repairs. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes. Ken

Thank you Ken! Will let you know how it goes after I bypass that nasty connector. The problem was about to beat me, until I ran across others that said the connector could be the culprit. Again, thanks and I will try to post some pic of the redo.

Just a follow up Ken. It was the connector under the drivers side passenger door. The green sensor signal wire was not making connection. This is a well know problem on these cars. Cleaned both the male and female side of the connector and it now works fine. All codes cleared within a hour of driving. If it happens again, I will bypass that green wire and be done with it. Thanks for your help and hopefully others can benefit from this information. Again, thanks for the help. Rick

Also, for anyone having trouble with their fuel pump, gas gauge, etc, check this connection first before throwing parts at it. The harness controls all aspects of the fuel system. Fuel system wiring harness could be the problem.
