My wipers stopped working. I checked the fuse and it is good. My wiper arms are real loose. But the motor does not kick on at all.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com.

If the fuse is good, we need to determine if the wiper motor is bad or there is a power supply issue to the motor or bad ground. Follow these directions. You will running power from the positive side of the battery to different pins on the wiper motor plug. The attached picture shows the pin orientation. Keep in mind, the tests are for different speeds and park. Once you determine the motor functions, let me know.

1. Inspect low speed motor operation as follows:
a. Disconnect wiper motor electrical connector.
B. Connect positive battery lead to terminal 2 and negative to motor body, Fig. 31.
C. Ensure motor operates at low speed.
2. Inspect high speed motor operation as follows:
a. Connect positive battery lead to terminal 1 and negative to motor body.
B. Ensure motor operates at high speed.
3. Inspect motor operation, stopping at stop position, as follows:
a. Operate motor at low speed.
B. Disconnect terminal 2 to stop motor operation.
C. Connect terminals 2 and 3.
D. Connect battery positive lead to terminal 4.
E. Ensure motor stops running in Off position after motor operates again.
4. If motor operation is not as indicated, replace motor.

If you find the motor does not operate, here are the directions for replacing it.

1. On models with coded audio anti-theft systems, refer to Technician Safety Information for code procedures.
2. On all models, remove wiper arms, Fig..

3. Carefully lift weather strip away from cowl trim.
4. Remove clips, then slide cowl trims forward.
5. Disconnect wiper linkage from wiper motor
6. Remove wiper motor mounting bolts, then the wiper motor.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Reset audio anti-theft system, if necessary, as outlined under Technician Safety Information.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
