Windshield wipers are very slow on fast setting. I have the car listed above base model. Need a new wiper motor?

Hi DMaxon

Just to clarify the wipers work normally on other settings but just on high is when they are slow?

If so, I would suspect your motor is the issue. Attached is the test to verify. If you put power to it as it states and it still runs slow then you know it is the motor. Basically, you are eliminating all wiring and controls and just testing the motor. If it acts the same, then the motor is the issue.

Let me know if you need more assistance or if this is not what you are experiencing. If they are slow on all settings then there is a chance the linkage connecting the motor to the wiper arms is binding but it appears it is just the high setting. Thanks

Here is a video that walks through checking and lubricating the linkage. I would inspect this first before you replace the motor. This is a different vehicle but the principal is the same. Unfortunately, the manual doesn't have specific instructions on how to remove your linkage but the steps on this video are pretty standard.

If the linkage is okay, then the motor is the issue. Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
