I recently was curious about changing the speakers and noticed that the track or guide for the window was rusted at the bottom and since then it has come off track twice. I fixed it first time around but this time all I cared about was the window being up so rain doesn't get it, but I want to fix it so I can use the window again. I hate not having use of all my windows. What would the part be called and where could I get it? I looked at Advanced Auto and AutoZone and neither had anything that even resemble the part I need now. I know it isn't the regulator so that's a no go, but I cant figure out what that part is called. Any help would be appreciated.

Good afternoon,

Can you post a picture of the part you need?

Honestly even if I took the door panel off to get a look at it I can't get a good enough angle for you to see what I'm talking about. But it is a metal piece that is in a kind of U shape and it is padded all the way down. It is the piece the window slides up and down in.

I want to say no but then again I'm no mechanic either I believe that's the regulator what you showed me and the videos I've seen with how to replace it its positioned more towards the middle of the door the part I'm trying to fix is at the very front when you take the panel off you also have to take the mirror off since the 2nd bolt or 1st depends on how you look at it is located underneath where the mirror sits the other bolt is down by the speaker and you have to take the speaker out to even get a look at the part I know where the part is at in the door just not what its called.

Okay, that is called a track. That is what the window rides on going up and down.

That is correct. You would need to go to the dealer parts department and get it. Make sure you take your VIN number with you.
