Window grinding

I replaced driver door window motor a month ago and problem fixed. Now passenger is doing the same thing, but new motor did not fix.

While raising only, the window hits three points where it stops and grinds. As I pull up on the glass and wiggle, the motor engages again until the next spot it stops.

The new motor did not fix. With the inner panel still installed, I inspected the regulator and the proper hardware installation and saw nothing abnormal to indicate a bad regulator. Without taking the regulator out and replacing, I cannot determine if that is the problem or if it is something else.

Any advice is appreciated. I have a video if it helps. Not sure if it actually attached to this request.

I'm trying a regulator tomorrow. I learned that the roller can get worn in a spot which can cause the intermittent stopping. But if you have better advice, I'm open to it!

Thank you.

You need a regulator. The teeth from the motor contacts the tape that moves the window. The teeth are broken or stripped causing the noise.

I'd like to ask a few unrelated issues.(1) My rear driver side door does not always unlock when I use the remote. Sometimes take two or three tries, sometimes works first try. Sometimes I just use the manual button on the driver door. All other doors never an issue.

(2) That same door the exterior handle is very loose. May or may not be related to the lock.

(3) The door swing bar that has the notches to hold it open at certain spots does not hold it open at those notches well. Any lean to the car and the door shuts with gravity.

What do you think?
