My exhaust is rattling and I can hear it inside my vehicle when I hit a hump in the road. I've looked underneath the car and nothing is loose. I'm wondering if the rubber muffler exhaust hangers can stretch and cause this problem.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Yes, the rubber hangers can be an issue after time due to breakage or deterioration. Also after time some of the heat shields can come loose and rattle due to their mounting points breaking or cracking etc, after time, rust, road debris. What I would suggest is to raise the car off the ground so you can crawl underneath. Use a rubber mallet and tap the exhaust system and components to see if you can find the source of the noise or rattles. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
