Where is the cylinder head temperature sensor located?

Hi,

The engine size makes a difference. I attached two pics below. Pic 1 is for the 4-cylinder turbo. If that is the engine size you have, let me know because it takes a good bit of work to access the sensor.

The second pic is for the 3.5L V6. Although this one is easier to access, it still requires the removal of the lower intake manifold to access the sensor.

Let me know which you have, and I will provide steps for replacing it.

I have the 6 cylinder 3.5 xxl sport model. I have a 3.5 6-cylinder xlt and don’t know the specific location for the coolant temperature sensor.

Hi,

The CHT is shown in pic 2 above. To access it, you will need to remove the lower intake manifold. The first two pics are the directions for replacing the sensor.

The remaining pictures are the directions for removing and replacing the lower intake manifold. Frustrating because it takes five minutes to replace the sensor, but three hours to remove and replace the intake.
