If I pump the gas pedal a few times it won't shut off. If it shuts off it starts right back up and runs awhile longer then does again. If it is below 45 degrees the problem doesn't happen as much if at all. Check engine code read for thermostat. Any ideas? Thanks

Sounds like you could be having two different problems. The throttle bore could be dirty causing the stalling and the alternator sounds like it is getting weak. Here are two guides we can run down to fix the problem.

and

I would use a AC delco alternator.

and finally you will need to replace your thermostat and clear the codes. These guides will walk you through what you need with diagrams below to show you on your car.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
