When it is cold, I noticed that the wheel makes a little squeal noise?

When cold out noticed that wheel makes a little squeal noise and car is electric power steering so no steering fluid reservoir.

It sounds like the steering motor is defective, can you please upload a short video of the noise so I can be sure? Here is the location of the steering motor and what it looks like. You might wat to try WD40 where you hear the squeaking noise if possible. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

I don’t think so, it only did it when it was cold out in the 40s and I had the heat running. Normal warmer days in the 60s-70s there’s no sound and it’s a new car.

Accidentally left headlights on for about 4 hours but used my handheld battery tester and it was 12.6v resting is this accurate or could I be looking at future issues? I didn’t know it was off initially because there were no lights on until I hit the unlock button to go to the car and the headlights illuminated and I noticed the knob was set to headlights “on”.

Follow up question tested the battery and running it was 14.5v but resting overnight it tested 12v however when I went too the mechanic yesterday it tested good so is 12v (50%) tested in cold weather sitting over night normal?
