What types of maintenance do I need before a long road trip?

I did the regular car maintenance 5 months ago. During this time I used the car for 2000 miles, mostly in during winter where temperature was less than 32F. I am planning to go on a long (40 hours) road trip with this car. What kinds of maintenance do I need to do?

Since you already have 2K miles on the oil change, I would recommend having it done before you leave. With only 28K on the vehicle, do visual inspections of tires, brakes, and have all fluids checked and filled if needed.
