What transmission do I have?

I have a 1994 Dodge ram 1500 and I can't figure out what transmission I have or what the setup is called it has an automatic transmission but it has a stick inside the cab that lets you switch to 2high 4 low and 4high it also has an overdrive button on the right side of the dash and has a 5.2 l V8 engine

You have the Chrysler A518 automatic, which is also known as:

46RH 4-speed automatic

Hydraulic shifting (old-school, very tough)
Electronically controlled overdrive
Electronically controlled torque converter lockup

This is why you have:

A separate Overdrive (O/D) button on the dash and no PRNDL “OD” position on the shifter itself. Let us know if you need anything else. Ken
