I need to know what this connection is on my engine it seems to ether have liquid coming from or somewhere around it and is making a hissing sound when the car is off while hot it seems to stop after cooling. Here are some pictures of it. http://imgur.com/ecooaxY and http://imgur.com/SoMOy4o

I didn't go to you tube but check for a broken or missing vacuum hose and duct work going to throttle body for a hole in it.

We don't have escorts in US in 2003 model year with a 2.2L only 2.0. It may be an egr solenoid as the pic isn't very big but it shouldn't leak air or vacuum as it shouldn't do either. I don't mean by what you ask should it be tight? If it moves it may be broken there. I even looked at all switches sensors in ford manual and cannot find that part.
