I recently had new tires put on my car, wheel bearing, and a control arm rear lower rearward control arm. After getting everything balanced put on the car now sways dog tracks whatever, but it also makes a grinding noise. What could it be?

Good afternoon.

If it dog tracks, something is bent and out of line.

Did the shop perform an alignment? If they did, do you have a copy of the print out with the results? It would be great if you could post it here.

No alignment was done. When I go forty five mph or more you cannot hear the noise much, but when I hit a bump it makes the rear fish tail, very concerned. I can hear the grinding more so when backing up it is like a deep grinds with deep creaking.

That makes sense, but the next step is to have a alignment performed. This will tell if the car is not within specs.

Once you have it done, get a copy of the print out and post it here for us to view.

That indicates either loose or worn parts in the suspension. You can get a shop to do a suspension check free for you to find the failures.

I figured since he did the lower control arm maybe he did not tighten some bushings very well that I would start by getting new bushings. Thank you I just did not know whether it was the suspension or the sway bar.
