On acceleration, there is a tapping noise that sounds like a drummer tapping a woodblock

It's about once per second, not related to engine speed or vehicle speed. I just started. Over the last few months, I've had an EGR valve replaced, new rear shocks, new front struts and suspension links, and new spark plugs and coil pack.

Good afternoon,

Can you upload a video here so I can hear the noise?

Here is a recording I made this morning. At the time I was going between 35 and 40 mph, and the ticking stopped as soon as I let up on the gas.

Okay, very faint but I heard it.

It sounds like an axle U joint. I would have someone check it for you to confirm that is the noise.
