Something seems to be holding the old one from pulling out. What could it be?

I've removed everything that videos have shone to remove, and old pump will not come out.

Hi,

I attached the directions specific to this vehicle for replacing the water pump. If you look at the pictures, you will see one where I highlighted information and I feel it is what you need for removal.

If I recall, the water pump itself is threaded, and to remove it, you need to install two bolts into the pump and tighten the screws equally a little at a time. The bolt will then touch the engine and the screws will work like a puller.

Take a look and let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe
