Bought this truck was running fine. Driving home it shut off and would not restart. The ASD relay was clicking when the switch was on, and would turn over but not start. Changed relays still no start, change PCM. Still the same. I plug a OBD scan tool in the ASD stopped clicking, truck would start and run, unplug it truck cut off.

Hello,

This could be a problem with a ground. Ground 110 in the engine compartment either on the left cylinder head or the left front inner fender is shared by both the Data Link Connector (DLC) and the Power-train Control Module (PCM) which energizes the coil in the ASD Relay when the ignition switch is in start by providing it with ground. Make sure this ground is clean, corrosion free, dry, and making good metal to metal contact. I have included wiring diagrams and a ground location diagram in the diagrams down below. Please go through the
supplied materials and check out the ground and get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex
