The parking brake does not provide any braking effect. I apply the footbarke, then the parking brake pedal and the mechanism seems to be working okay. When I release the parking brake there is a release of tension, so I imagine it is only an adjustment problem. If that is so, how and where do I adjust the parking brake?

Hello,

On this vehicle the brakes do have a self-adjusting function, which can be reset.
I have included the resetting procedure below. Also included the manual adjustment steps.
The manual adjustment mechanism is located lower left side of the center console (see diagrams).

Keep in mind that it is possible for the cable to be stretched to a point that adjustment will not fix the issue and the cable need to be replaced.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
