The blower started to produce a rather loud 'whirring' sound yesterday (behind the glove compartment, 21F air temp) which becomes progressively higher pitched as I increased the blower speed - the sound stopped when I turned the blower off. Is this something that I (not very handy) could fix before the a/c is required or how much should I budget with an auto repair business to correct the problem.
Thank You

You should be able to replace it.4screws I think. Getting to it can be something else sometimes. Max the switch on the blower fan this may get ride if the sound.
