Rear hatch won't shut?

The rear hatch will not shut completely unless it is slammed violently (worried I may break the glass some day). Is there an obvious repair? It looks like there is a plastic cover that may be worn on the part of the latch located on the body of the car. Could this be the culprit? Is so, where would I buy one? Or does it sound like I will need to replace the latch mechanism located in the door? Thank you.

Hi there, this may just be a simple adjustment of the lock and slam plate, try to move the sticker plate.

The rear door on the wagon won't open. The lock mechanism appears to be working ok it is going up and down. When I squeeze the handle your can feel the mechanism move but the lock is not disengaging. I have tried to open from the inside with no success. I have pushed and pulled on the hatch while trying to open but still no good. I was trying to remove the rear hatch panel from the inside but can't figure out how to get it off. Looking for info on getting the panel off and then how to fix the latch. (Unless there is a fix for the latch with out taking the door apart)

What van happen is the rivet that holds the actuator comes out and it may look and. Sound like it works but just flops around. I will check for some diagrams and get bsck to you.
