I had my ac system charged and it stopped cooling within a coulple of days the repair gargarg said it was problaly the evaporator which was under the dash and very expensive to fix. How will they see where the leak is with the black light under the dash and how much should this repair cost

Basically they inspect the rest of the system for leakage by UV light if they charged it with UV dyed r134a refrigerant. If no other leaks are found they will blame the evaporator (a know weakness on the 850 and 70 series cars). The typical price for repair is $1500 due to the labor to remove and replace the dash assy.
