I've checked balancing & checked the tire for bulges, they are both good.
For about 6 months I’ve been noticing a wobble at all speeds. It has recently gotten worse. Now I’m noticing more noise and wobbling when I turn slightly left. I’ve been told by a couple of non-mechanics that it might be the CV joint? I could really use some help on this. I’m afraid of taking to a shop and getting screwed. I’m currently unemployed and can only afford to fix what really needs to be fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Raise the car up and grab the tires from the sides and wiggle back and forth. If you have a lot of play see if it is the outer or inner tie rod that is worn out. Most likely it will be the inner tie rod. If you dont see any play there grab the tire from top to bottom and wiggle up and down. If you have play that way as well then most likely problem will be a bad hub bearing. If it is you should have heard the growling noise before it got that severe? If you do not see play there make sure that you have a jack under the car and crawl under and grab the axle shaft and wiggle up and down. If you have too much play then your axle is bad. Let me know what happens.
