Hello. Thanks for the donation. Much apreciated

The manufacturer has not released the repair instructions for this transmission. I am not showing a P0751 code listed under volvo's DTC list. It could be because the DTC does not cross reference to this vehicle or volvo just do not want anyone inside their transmissions. I would have the vehicle plugged into a volvo diagnostic computer to retrieve the correct fault code before attempting any repairs

This transmissions have not bieng very good to begin with and trying to get into he valve body to replace a solenoid would be too expnsive. With over 100k miles on the vehicle you are better off replacing the transmission. Most likely what is jamming the solenoid is clutch debri. If you do have the transmission replaced or decide to have the solenoid replaced, mke sure the place that does it can read off the transmission control module and be able to reset the oil counter and especially the transmission adapatation. The transmission control module adapts to your driving pattern and stores that information as the transmission ages. Having new parts with the old adaptation values will cause the transmission to shift very hard and bounce you around.
