1999 Volvo S70 Engine Surges

Engine Performance problem
1999 Volvo S70 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 148000 miles

I have a 1999 S70 2.4 turbo and when at idel the engines surges about 2 tenths of a rpm and sometimes while going down the road the engine ack the sam as if it pops a miss in. Any help Thanks

No the light has not come on. Do you think the turbo is acting up and if so canit be adjusted.

It coud be the turbo (not adjustable). Have you checked closely for vacuum leaks?

You could have a sticking throttle plate or the electronic throttle could befailing already. Usually with generic scanners codes will not pop up in the engine control module. The throttle is cover under the extended warranty 10 years from date of delivery or 200k miles wich ever comes first. Call Volvo and give them your VIN # to see if you are still covered and if you are have them diagnose the vehicle to see if it is the throttle failling.
