Suspension problem
2001 Volvo S60 V6 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 31,000 miles

the above car has 31,000 original miles. I've been told by a mechanic that it now needs motor mounts, since they became DRIED OUT and Cracked! Is this possible or should I find a new mechanic?

I would get a second opinion but this possible with the mounts cracking but drying out is unlikely. I had a Volvo S70 that had a cracked moto mount but never from "drying out".

What usually breaks frequently is the upper torque mount. Volvo now has an upgraded replacement mount.
