Computer problem
2006 Volvo S40 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 102k miles

Hi, having problems with my 06 volvo s40. Recently got timing belt done. 2 days after, a collection of faults started appearing. Airbag, brake failure, doors open, wipers and indicators staying on, to name just a few. Sometimes a few of these faults, ( never all the faults ) clear themselves, including the brake failure light which allows the car to start and drive. I've had a guy plug in a generic computer and he recorded up to 12 various faults all displaying no signals to the modules. Is this leading to a faulty cem or a faulty connection on one of the earths. Can Anyone advise me on the best way forward? My mechanic has assured me that he assembled everything as it was while replacing belt! Thanks for reading.

Check your CEM connectors. CEM is located under the glove box. There is a small black cover. Remove it and make sure the connectors were not kicked loose by accident by a riding passenger. Also how is your battery? Check cables and terminals for corrosion and make sure terminals are secured and check condition of the battery.
