2000 Volvo C70 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 88000 miles

I recently replaced the battery. When new battery was installed, the display on the radio was requesting a code. Now it jut displays the word "off" even though the unit is powered on.
What are the procedures for getting the radio to work when a new battery is installed?

You will need to go to Volvo and remove the radio out so that they can read out the serial number and retrieve the code from Volvo's database. Once you get the code, you wil need to leave the ignition switch on until the message code comes back on. This could take an hour and sometimes it has taken even longer. You may want to hook up a charger to the battery and let it slow charge.
