1993 Volvo 960 does not run

I bought a 960 wagon for my daughter. After 2 months it never turned back on. Had to be towed to a repair shop. The mechanic who works on Volvos there has had it for 8 months and cannot find what it wrong. Any suggestions? I want to have tit towed somewhere else, but my husband keeps waiting for the mechanic to discover the cure.

First thing I can do to help you is to find out weather it is getting spark, and wether or not it is getting fuel.

Does vehicle start with gas dumped in the throttle body?

Does vehicle even attempt to start

as in crank?
