Engine Cooling problem
1994 Volvo 850

My 1994 Volvo 850 turbo is running hot. The top hose is hot while the bottom remains warm. When you feel the hose you can't feel water flowing.I also took off top hose of the thermostat, started the car there's no flow of coolant, it just sits there. I think its the water pump. What do you think?

Hello and thanks for donating

If there is no coolant flow then the water pump could be suspect, but it may also be a clog in the system preventing the flow. Normally, when water pumps begin to fail they will weep coolant and also cause a very loud bearing failure noise.
