1974 Volkswagen Thing 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have recently replaced the main wiring harness on my VW thing. I also replaced the plugs, points condenser, distributor cap, coil, and voltgage regulator. I also have a new battery. The car will turn over but will not start. I have tried every trouble shooting tip I could find, from chiltons manual, the official thing service manual, etc. I need some other direction. Thanks

Hi
I bought one of the first Thinks to hit states in 1973 Loved that Thing.
Now to help you is there spark to plugs?
Is fuel getting to carb? If yes to both check fuel cut-off solenoid on left side carb. Should click when unpluged and repluged key on. If not you can unscrew solenoid remove plunger and see if it fires. If yes think power to solenoid comes from coil.
